Seaham Hall | Twilight Package Review

For months I've been saying to my lovely mam that we need to go to a spa so I decided to book up to visit Seaham Hall for her as a Christmas present, I chose the twilight package as it was the most affordable way of doing so. We chose to do the weekend package which is more expensive but completely worth it if you're working all week and need something to look forward to.

I, ofcourse, drove us along to Seaham Hall so my mam could have a drink and on arrival we were given some forms to fill in and some complimentary tea then taken around the spa by one of the lovely ladies that work there so we had our barings before using the spa and knew what we could get up to throughout our visit.

The spa itself has everything you need and more - the outdoor hot tubs being a favourite of mine and if you're there during a quiet period you're more likely to get time there alone. The Serenity Spa has 17 treatment rooms (and three for couples), stream rooms and saunas, a pink salt sauna, a 20 metre pool with massage stations, cold plunge pools and many other amazing features - I was very impressed! There's also a terrace to enjoy post-treatment drinks and nibbles.

We book in to have our meal at half 7 in the Ozone restaurant, which I think worked best as we got to use all the spa's facilities then have food then go back to the spa with enough time either side of the meal. The restaurant has the perfect relaxed vibe with a live acoustic singer, the friendliest staff and being able to eat in our robes - we couldn't have been happier! With the twilight package you get a two course meal in the - so you're only paying for drinks which was great. For starters we both went for the duck pancakes which were amazing and for mains I went for the chicken chow mein and my mam went for the Kaeng Phet Thai Red Curry which she said was amazing. If you're thinking about this package you can have a look at the food menu here

I'd never been to a spa day before and I'm so glad Seaham Hall was my first! How's your experiences been with spas before? Any you would recommend? Let me know!
